Cascada El Pavon
The unspoiled jungle of Southern Costa Rica contains some of the most pristine and incredible natural attraction, and the Cascada El Pavon is one of them. Cascada El Pavon in Ojochal is well known for the massive boulder stick right in the middle of the waterfall. People still don’t know how the rock got placed so perfectly between the waterfalls, but all they know is that it is absolutely fascinating. Looking for a photo op? This is just the place due to the character the rock provides to the waterfall!
Cascada El Pavon is a great place to come swim and cool off during a hot day in Costa Rica. You can swim in the pools or enjoy a nice picnic under the shade the jungle provides. It definitely is a must see.
How to get there?
Drive about 5 kilometers past Ojochal on the Costanera Sur until you see a few signs on the left hand side of the road before a bridge.
The signs read Tilapias la Cascada, that’s where you will turn left.
Drive another 4 kilometers on the road, and you will start to see many signs to the waterfall so you cant miss it.
Pass the restaurant on your left and go another kilometer.
On the left hand side you will see a small sign that says Cascada El Pavon
You go start walking towards the waterfall its about a 100 meter path until you reach the waterfall.
